The boring parts, handled.

You talk to the camera. Wavcut does the edit you would have done anyway — in a fraction of the time.

Dead air, cut on device

Silence detection runs locally and trims every awkward pause before you even open the editor. Each cut stays tap-toggleable on the timeline.

Captions that write themselves

On-device speech-to-text stamps word-by-word captions in the style, position and language saved on your preset. Restyle anytime.

B-roll from your library

Build collections once. Wavcut lays cutaways over your story — how often, how long and in what order is up to your preset.

Presets run the edit

Aspect ratio, caption look, b-roll rules, auto-cut toggles — saved once, applied to every new video. Your style on tap.

Start from video or audio

Drop in a talking-head take, or just record a voiceover in the app — b-roll fills the visuals, timed to your narration.

Private, on-device pipeline

Transcription, silence detection and the final render never leave your iPhone. Only your b-roll library syncs to the cloud for reuse.

Still your edit

Everything lands on a real multi-track timeline. Toggle any cut, drag clips, restyle captions, mute, zoom — nothing is locked in.

Three taps, not three hours.

01

Pick a preset, drop your clip

Choose the style you saved — ratio, captions, b-roll rules — then add a talking-head take. Or skip the camera and record a voiceover right in the app.

02

Wavcut builds the timeline

Silences trimmed, captions transcribed and styled on-device, b-roll from your collections placed over the right beats. Every change stays editable.

03

Export and post

Rendered on your iPhone — no upload, no queue. Saved to Photos and shared anywhere from the share sheet.

Cheaper than an editor.

Questions, answered.

What exactly is a preset?

Your editing recipe. A preset stores the aspect ratio, caption style, position and language, which b-roll collections to pull from, how often and how long cutaways run, and which auto-edits to apply. Every new project starts from your active preset — set it once, reuse it forever.

Does my footage get uploaded anywhere?

Your talking-head footage stays on your iPhone: transcription (Apple Speech), silence detection and the final render all run on-device. The one exception is your b-roll library — collections upload to the cloud so you can reuse them across projects and devices.

Can I make a video without filming myself?

Yes. Audio mode lets you record a voiceover in the app (or upload one), and Wavcut fills the entire visual track with b-roll from your collections, timed to your narration.

Can I still edit manually?

Always. Every automatic cut, caption and b-roll placement lands on a normal multi-track timeline. Toggle any cut, drag clips, restyle and reposition captions, mute or zoom any layer.

Which devices are supported?

Wavcut is iPhone-only for now. An Android version is in development.

How long does an export take?

It renders locally at hardware speed, so a one-minute vertical video typically exports in well under a minute. No render queue, no waiting on a server.

Stop editing. Start posting.

The next video you record could be edited before you stand up. Free on the App Store.
